SMYT
A social league where you build your own bets, challenge your friends and fight for prestige matchweek after matchweek. The league no longer ends on the pitch.

SMYT starts from a very simple idea: the most fun part of following a league doesn't always happen on the pitch — it happens in the bets, the banter and the bragging between friends. From there we built a social platform where anyone can create their own bets — «who'll score first?», «will they miss the penalty?» — set the odds and challenge whoever they want. Rather than competing with traditional bookmakers, SMYT puts the banter between mates at the centre of the experience: you set the stake, the loser pays, and the league is lived matchweek after matchweek.

At the heart of the app is its own token economy, SMYTcoins, that powers everything. Each user plays inside their own private league — created with an invite code shared over WhatsApp — and from there gets a market of open bets, their own plays and 1v1 duels. You can create a market, set the odds and see who's in, or challenge a friend directly by picking the condition: «most points this matchweek», «my MVP vs yours», heads or tails, or a fully custom rule. Duels can be played in SMYTcoins or in «real stuff» (a beer, a forfeit…), and some resolve automatically by hooking into the real matchweek points.
Around the bet we built a game layer designed to keep the app addictive between matchweeks. There's a shop to spend SMYTcoins on «punishments» to tease your rival (a poop next to their name, a banana slip…) and on gifts to reward the star; mini-games to refill your balance when you run dry; a system of achievements, a league ranking, an activity feed and a matchweek MVP; and a real-time stats screen with balance, ROI, hit rate and streak. It all points the same way: what's really on the line is prestige.
Technically it's a mobile-first full-stack web app, with a real-time backend, authentication (Google and email), bet- and duel-resolution logic, and an admin panel to manage leagues, matchweeks and users. The project is actively in development (v0.1), being validated with real groups of friends while the social mechanics that make it addictive get refined.
