ReadyToWork
Software for a university ecosystem that connects students with companies through projects, internships and a real-time progress dashboard during the contract — for both organisations and students.

ReadyToWork was a class project built with a very specific intent: to shorten the gap between university and the job market. The idea came from an obvious reality — many students finish their studies without ever having had a real connection with companies, professional dynamics or actual business needs. To address that, I designed a digital platform able to join both worlds inside the same ecosystem, enabling a more natural, useful and practical transition between education and work.

On one side, the platform includes a dashboard built for the student — a space to not only look for opportunities but also start building a first professional identity. From there, students can explore openings posted by companies, apply for internships or projects and, on top of that, link personal work, proposals or ideas to real needs from the business landscape. The goal wasn't only to show vacancies, but to create an environment where students could start proving value before even formally entering the job market. The portal becomes a tool for visibility, discovery and connection — much closer to an active professional growth experience than a simple job board.

On the other side, ReadyToWork also covers the company perspective through a management dashboard focused on talent search. From this panel, organisations can post opportunities, identify relevant profiles and filter candidates by skills, interests or previous experience. That means the relationship between company and student isn't limited to a traditional hiring process — it can be built from much earlier stages. The platform aims to enable more precise and valuable connections, where companies find people aligned with their needs and students access opportunities better matched to their profile and potential.

Overall, ReadyToWork was framed as a platform that doesn't just enable connections — it redefines the way university and company can relate. More than solving a one-off employability problem, the project proposed a logic of continuous collaboration between both sides, creating a system where emerging talent can develop with greater visibility and where companies can participate more actively in the practical education of students. Above all, it was a product-design exercise focused on building bridges: between learning and experience, between potential and opportunity, and between the academic and the professional.
Most job platforms stop the moment the contract starts. ReadyToWork does the opposite: that's where the story actually begins.
My internships
The product stays with you after the «yes, you're hired».
The «My internships» module tracks the student's actual progress inside the company: hours logged against the agreed target, a daily-hours chart and a weighted score — punctuality, output, friendliness — that the company keeps updating and that directly feeds into contract renewal. For once, transparency benefits both sides.
